Magical Absorbing Calendar

I've actually seen one of these calendars in action. Its a special type of paper that absorbs the ink at a certain rate so by time one day is over, the entire day is over. It was so cool to see this happen.

I am a big fan of 3D design. Graffiti design has always caught my attention, I've been working with 3D programs over the past couple of years. Incorporating 3D graphics into my design adds a nice touch. Graffiti Tecnica and many others are getting commissioned by big names to do huge projects.

Bubbles Calendar

One thing that kept seeing looking through some cool calendars is that a lot of designers are building changing the basic design of a calendar. Instead of having to flip pages everything is together and you can see all of the months and dates at once. That being said picking this calendar wasn't to hard just because bubble wrap is amazing. The creativity in taking such a simple thing and making into something more is always intriguing and makes the design much more interesting to look and interact with.

Graphically Satisfying

I really enjoy these art prints by Kate Fitzpatrick! I love the complexity and detail behind each animal. My sounds for my calendar are all wild animal sounds too so I'm finding the different representations of the textures within the animals to be really interesting. I think all of the art prints off this website are vibrant and original.

Abstract Calendar

This calendar that I found on RedBubble is very similar in context to the sketches and ideas I've been coming up with for our project. I like how unified the whole calendar is. The abstract use of bright colors and lines to create movement is aesthetically pleasing to me as well. It's simple to look at but complex in design and that's something I hope I can create in my calendar.
